My son was preparing for his baptism during the weeks of the Mesa Temple Open House. When I asked him where he would like to have me take some photos of him, he wanted to have a photo session at both Mesa and Gilbert temples, but settled on Mesa. He chose a new bolo tie along with one which belonged to his great-grandpa and we set out on a Sunday afternoon in October. We were disappointed to find all the gates closed, but we still enjoyed the portion of the grounds that were available to us and mostly the time together reflecting on covenants and following Jesus Christ.
